Sins and Serenity

When I was just barely past being a little boy, I found a band that no one but me seemed to know existed. None of my small friend group wanted to listen to it with me, and that was alright. This band was my band, the enigmatic centerpiece was speaking to me. I had this treasure.

If I have a goal for my poetry, it’d be that I want to be that for somebody, someday. I want someone to find an unwanted copy of one of my books, and I want them to read it. I want someone, who doesn’t know me or anything about me, to realize I wrote that book just for them. I want them to have that sense of connection to someone who doesn’t know that they exist.

I want this individual to smirk at the familiarity of the shit I wrote about, and I want them to know there’s someone out there who knows how they think.

My first attempt at this connection, Sins and Serenity, is for sale through Barnes and Noble, Amazon and Lulu. Signed copies are available if you ask through the Contact form.
